Cost of marriage registration in Ghana

The approved fees for marriage registration in Ghana are, GHC85.00 for both the filing of a Notice of Marriage and Issue of a Registrar’s Certificate; and GHC160.00 for Celebration of Marriage (Official Marriage Ceremony). That makes a total of GHS245.00 in fees for registration of marriage under the ordinance at the Marriage Registry. These fees are valid for the year 2019 and may be changed in subsequent years.

For the BRIDE

  • Name:
  • Date of Birth:
  • House Number (Residential Address):
  • Occupation:
  • Father’s Name:
  • Father’s Occupation:
  • Condition:

The service is quick and you avoid all the downtown traffic when you choose the marriage ceremony to be at the Marriage Registry at the appropriate Registrar General’s Office.
