I charge 2 billion cedis for a show – King Ayisoba reveals

Award-winning folklore and traditional musician, King Ayisoba, has revealed how much he charges for shows outside the country.

Aside from that huge sum, Ayisoba disclosed that there are other conditions that need to be agreed on before he leaves Ghana.

These conditions, he mentioned, are for the organisers of the show to pay for his travelling expenses and his hotel bills till he returns to Ghana.

He was speaking in an interview monitored by Ghana News Punch on TV Africa, which is contained in a video.

A viewer had expressed interest in getting the ‘I want to see you My Father’ crooner to perform at an upcoming show, outside Ghana and so wanted to know how much he would charge.

He first stormed the music industry over 10 years ago with his first song I want to see you, my father.

Since then, Ayisoba has released more and more songs including Meka, literally meaning “I will report”.

In that song, he urged every able-bodied man to work hard and make genuine money rather than to go steal.
