He had a call that one of his children was sick and told us he was going to take his son to the hospital and bid us goodbye.

“So he drove his car and as he approached the junction we heard a gunshot and was thinking that it was knock out (crackers). Soon after, a man rushed to our house and informed us that Ahmed has been shot dead. We rushed there and saw him dead in his car,” a family source is quoted as saying by Kasapafmonline.

Actually, someone had earlier threatened him and said he’ll hire people to kill him. But we are not ready to disclose the name now, we want the police to finish with their investigations first.”

The late Ahmed was one of the key investigators behind the “Number 12” expose which uncovered rots in Ghana football.

Last year, MP for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong exposed the deceased’s photos to the public, saying he would pay anyone who beats him (Ahmed) up.
