NDC members lied on Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s academic qualifications

NDC members lied on Professor Naana Jane: The newly outdoored running mate to John Dramani Mahama Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has one academic master’s degree and one academic Ph.D. degree while the rest of her degrees are honorary degrees in recognition of her work as an academic and in other areas.

Contrary to claims by some opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicators and sympathizers that she has eight master’s degrees and four PhDs, it has come to light that she obtained her master’s and PhD from York University in Canada in the area of English language and Literature and the rest were given to her as awards.

In her CV, only her master’s at York University is mentioned. It is unclear where the four master’s degrees are contained in her official CV.

Many NDC communicators and supporters touted her academic strengths by saying that while Dr Bawumia, running mate for President Akufo-Addo on the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has one Ph.D., Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has four PhDs. But the assertion is misleading since they both have one academic Ph.D.
