PHOTOS: Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Spotted With His Freemason Group In London

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n a recent picture the King of the Ashanti Region was seen in a photo showing him in a company of a white man and both of them were fully clad in exquisite suits with badges of the Freemason on their breast pockets.

It is alleged that some high standing Ghanaians including Former President John Agyekum Kufuor were part of the non-religious organization.

The former president is reported to have been appointed as a senior grand warden of the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE).

Other prominent Ghanaians believed to be part of the International organization include Professor Christopher Ameyaw-Ekumfi who served in the erstwhile Kufuor administration, Henry Martey Newman, who was part of late Atta Mills’ government, Otwasuom Osei Nyampong VI (Kamenahene of the Akwamu) popularly known as Yaw Adjei and Dr. Alex Tweneboah. Freemasonry is believed to be one of the world’s largest fraternity and it has no religious, ethnic or political affiliations.

According to the Sun Newspaper, the organization boasts of about 6 million members worldwide.The membership of the organization is believed to comprise of people from all walks of life. It was however not compulsory for members to openly declare their involvement in the organization.
