According to the eyewitness, the policemen got out of their vehicle and one policeman went in front of the vehicle whilst the other went behind it.

In their attempt to open the door of the minibus and whilst asking the driver to come out of the vehicle, the trotro driver reportedly reversed the vehicle and run over the policeman and dragged him on the road for some metres.
