Captain Smart suspended by Angel FM Management
The firebrand of the Ghanaian airwaves whose style of journalism is to hit hard on corrupt politicians is alleged to have been suspended from Angel FM, the radio station where he hosts his political talk show ‘Anopa Bofuo’.
His suspension became public when Franklin Cudjo of IMANI shared a post alleging that he [Franklin] had a call with Captain Smart who confirmed to him that his boss has asked him to take a go on a break.
“Had a worrying conversation moments ago. Captain Smart’s boss has allegedly asked him to go off air for a while as a result of undue pressure that has been piled on him by ‘high ranking officials in government’. Captain Smart’s crime, allegedly, is that his usual critical commentary on national affairs, is making government unpopular. Really? I hope it is not some overzealous politicians who made those calls. Either way, it paints a gravely intolerant picture. #Fixitnow!” Franklin Cudjoe wrote on his Facebook wall.
Clearly, his suspension has something to do with the intense criticisms Captain has been pouring on the government.
