The Chief of Gomoa Akraman in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, Nana Ahor Agyei has been pounded with a pestle, stoned and shot to death by unidentified persons in his house at Gomoa Akraman.

The unfortunate incident happened on Monday dawn.

Bullet shells, a pestle soiled with blood and a blood-soaked shirt belonging to the deceased Chief was found at the crime scene.

It is not immediately known the motivation for the cold-blooded murder of the chief.

Some residents of the town, however, believe that the Chief’s murder could be linked to land issues. Some have alleged that aside he being a chief, he doubles as a land-guard.

Other inhabitants who spoke to Kasapa FM reporter, Yaw Boagyan told him they are not surprised the chief has been killed in such a dastardly manner as he’s known to be a cantankerous character who is always involved in land litigations in the area.

Police are yet to make an arrest in connection with the incident. Some residents in the chief’s house have been invited by the Police to help with the investigation.

The late Chief’s body has been conveyed to the morgue for autopsy and preservation.
