[dropcap]P[/dropcap]rivate legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw is accusing the founder and leader of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, of engaging in massive corruption deals with his position.
According to the controversial lawyer, the renowned Archbishop has his hands stained with serious ‘church corruption’, therefore he is not surprised about his stance when it comes to the fight against corruption.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Abusua FM, Maurice Ampaw revealed that the famous ‘Man of God’ demands a whooping sum of GHC 100,000, before accepting invitations from other pastors to preach in their churches.
The outspoken lawyer warned that he has all the necessary proof and he’s ready to sink Archbishop Duncan Williams further if he dares him on the allegations.
”Somebody like Duncan William charges, GHC100,000 before preaching; when he’s invited to share the word of God at a different church. Let him come out and challenge me and I will expose him big time’,’ the lawyer alleged.
Maurice Ampaw also insisted that, ‘’Now most of the pastors in the country charge huge sums of money when given an invite to preach in a different church.
I tell you now our pastors are more than performers or musicians; they charge a lot and some even take half of the money charged before honoring invitations”.
Lawyer Maurice Ampaw in his interview lamented that some modern Ghanaian pastors have almost made things impossible to offer their services for ordinary church members and the vulnerable in society.
”Now every pastor is taking monies from people because the moment you visit them to narrate your story they will immediately ask you to sow a seed and all these are corrupt practices exhibited by most of our preaches’’, he said.
Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams has angered some Ghanaians after he was quoted to have said in a sermon on Sunday, “winning fight against corruption is conditioned on a total change in Ghanaian attitudes.”
