Housemaid runs with valuable items after drugging a family with sleeping tablets

A housemaid in the exclusive suburb, identified only as Joy, has succeeded in running away lots of valuables of her employers after drugging them with a potent sleeping pill.

In order to steal and successfully escape with her loot, the house help sent the whole family into sleep with allegedly with food laced with the sleeping pills at Lekki in neighboring Nigeria.

Assured that the family was fast asleep, she then picked out the valuables of her choice and bolted. Later, the household woke up to discover the crime and suspected her after realising each one of them fell deeply asleep after a few minutes of eating the food she had served.

They have since reported the theft to the police while they use social media to ensure that she is busted.

A social media user shared the sad story declaring her wanted.
