“I walk with a metal in my leg today but I am grateful to God” – Stonebwoy shares a sad story in his life
I walk with a metal in my leg today but I am grateful to God: Reggae dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has finally revealed what lead to his accident in a recent interview with Nana Ama Mcbrown on the United Showbiz show on UTV.
Narrating his ordeal, Stonebwoy revealed that the accident occurred on the Tema motorway and he was only 13 years old.
” I don’t usually speak about this incident but I will let you guys know what went down… We were hit by a Police Convoy right after we passed by the old tollbooth at Tema…my dad’s ribs were crushed and bruised and one of my sisters who was also in the car suffered a heavy blow to her head which is still affecting her today…. I also got my own share of it with what happened to my leg”. Stonebwoy narrated.
When asked about what happened to the policemen who caused the accident, Stonebwoy said;
” I may have been young then but I was old enough to understand what was happening, our car somersaulted and unfortunately for us, the police car that caused it didn’t experience any harm….I later heard that the offices who were involved in the accident were promoted to a higher rank… While we were fighting for our lives at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital……this accident opened my eyes about car insuranc….I bet I would have been living big if this accident had occurred in abroad because the responsible parties would have faced justice”.
Stonebwoy furthered that the unfortunate accident made him miss his final exams so he was forced to write with his Juniors.
He however made it clear that, his accident, rather than limit him, opened many success doors.
” I walk with a metal in my leg today but I am grateful to God for my life and everything he has done for me. I am proud for not allowing my circumstances define me.” Stonebwoy finally added.
