Mahama can cry blood, he will never taste power again in Ghana – Maame Akua Donkor

Mahama can cry blood: Flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party Akua Donkor has said former President and flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama will never become President in Ghana again.

Even though she failed to elaborate on why the one-time President of Ghana should not be optimistic of his chances in the 2020 elections, she has in recent times hailed the economic prowess and leadership qualities of the Akufo-Addo led government.

The former President, who served as Vice President prior to becoming President in 2012, was voted out of power in 2016, recording the worst performance of any incumbent since 1992, 44.4% of valid votes cast.

Speaking on Rainbow FM, Akua Donkor who has had a recent fall out with the NDC flagbearer said the NDC as a party should also give up their dream of ever winning power.

”John Mahama and the NDC should forget the presidential seat. Mahama will never taste power again, he should forget about his presidential ambition. With God on my side, Mahama will never rule Ghana again.

”If you are looking for an evil personality, then Mr. Mahama is a perfect person who fits that description,” she alleged.

The founder of the GFP, who campaigned for Mr. Mahama in the lead up to the 2016 elections has in numerous interviews expressed regret for campaigning and defending the former President, describing him as a ‘wicked nation wrecker.’

In an interview with ABC News, after the Independence Day celebration, she pledged her support for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the December, 7 polls, explaining his policies and performance are commendable.

Explaining how her ‘relationship’ with the former President turned sour, Akua Donkor said, “When you have good intentions about people and they pay you with evil, then you have to stay away from them.”
