Stop your propaganda stunts – Kweku Baako slams NDC
Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, has critiqued a recent press conference held by the COVID-19 response team announced by former President John Mahama.
The response team, according to former President Mahama, would lead the party’s public advocacy and sensitization activities on the coronavirus pandemic. The team will also collaborate with the ruling government upon request.
The press conference was also held to outdoor the team.
Speaking to this on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Kweku Baako said had the NDC understood ‘our current situation’, they would not have engaged in such a ‘propaganda stunt’.
“It’s obviously problematic. I can’t say they have no right to hold press conferences or sit at the beer bar or chop bar and make such proposals, but this is a major challenge facing the nation . . . and so I felt some of these things should have been presented to parliament.
If you are focused and you understand our current situation, you will lessen some of these public stunts, propaganda stunts; you minimize or eliminate them and focus… you cannot set up anybody who will be a substitute to what statutory institutions are doing. If you want to complement, it must go through an appropriate framework,” he slammed.
