SONA 2021:My Government Is Going To Recruit More Health Workers In My Second Term; Akufo-Addo has announced that his government will recruit more health workers in his second term to help improve the country’s healthcare delivery services.
He said his first term saw the recruitment of 100,000 healthcare professionals into the country’s healthcare service.

President Akufo-Addo said this while delivering the 2021 State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament on Tuesday afternoon, March 9, 2021.

He said his second term will ensure that every district without a hospital gets one, adding that the government was also going to construct regional hospitals in each of the six newly created regions.

Similarly, President Akufo-Addo said, some of the regional hospitals will be upgraded to teaching hospitals to offer more specialized care services.
