27 Charges Leveled Against Dr. Stephen Kwabena Opuni, Ex COCOBOD Boss

Dr. Stephen Kwabena Opuni was the chief executive officer of Ghana COCOBOD during the reign of John Mahama.

-The State has leveled 27 charges against Dr. Opuni and one Seidu Agongo for willfully causing financial loss to Ghana.

The state has filed a case of financial loss against , a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana COCOBOD with one Seidu Agongo.

The case is said to be called on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the High Court.

In February 2017, the Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) froze the assets of Dr Opuni as part of investigations into his period as CEO of COCOBOD.

He is alleged to have mismanaged the cocoa sector during his tenure.

Dr Opuni was relieved of his post on January 12, 2017.
