Former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Yaa Jantuah, has made a bold statement regarding former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta’s reported health condition, arguing that he should not be exempt from accountability due to illness.
Jantuah, who recounted her own ordeal in 2017, insisted that no individual should be shielded from justice on health grounds.
“I was carried to the BNI offices in 2017 to assist with investigations even when I suffered a total system failure. My heart was the only organ working at the time. Ken Ofori-Atta cannot hide behind any sickness to escape justice.”
Her remarks come amid ongoing calls for investigations into Ofori-Atta’s tenure as Finance Minister, with critics urging authorities to hold him accountable for economic decisions made under his leadership. While reports suggest that the former minister is unwell, Jantuah insists that justice must take precedence over personal circumstances.
