Any gov’t whose major achievement in health are ambulances is hopelessly mediocre – Felix Ofosu Kwakye

Former Deputy Information Minister under the John Dramni Mahama administration, Felix Kwakye Ofosu says any government whose major achievement in health is the launch of ambulances, is hopelessly mediocre.

The NPP government under the administration of Nana Akufo-Addo will Tuesday inaugurate 300 ambulances.

The distribution is in accordance with the promise by the government to provide each constituency with an ambulance.

The inauguration which was supposed to have taken place on January 6 was postponed after a plea by the Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service, Prof. Ahmed N. Zakariah, who said a number of things were not in place yet to occasion the distribution of the ambulances, scheduled for Monday, January 6.

However, the government is set to launch the ambulances which are ready to be distributed to the various constituencies.

Reacting to the celebration, the former Information Minister said: ” Any government whose major achievement in health is the launch of ambulances, is hopelessly mediocre”.

To him and the National Democratic Congress, there’s no need for a funfair for the distribution of ambulances in the country.
