Ghana to produce face masks locally in COVID-19 combat

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has approved the local production of face masks in an effort to contain the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

“We have come to a point where we are advising everybody to use facial masks, especially those who have flu-like symptoms,” GHS director-general Patrick Aboagye told a briefing on Friday, wearing a locally made mask.

He said the locally made masks will be reusable and good for the economic situation of many.

The total number of Coronavirus cases in Ghana has increased to 287.

Total deaths and recovery remain at five (5) and three (3) respectively.
