Ghanaians should blame themselves for making Akufo-Addo our president – Felix Fosu Kwakye

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the ex-Deputy Minister for Communications, has stated that blaming the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the hardships in Ghana is unreasonable because the party lacks the ability to check the government.

He emphasized that Ghanaians should be cautious about electing leaders and not rely on another party to police the government. Speaking on JoyNews’ NewsFile show on March 25, 2023, Kwakye Ofosu acknowledged that the concerns about the NDC’s inability to check the government were valid, but they should not be accountable for the Akufo-Addo government’s shortcomings.

He also pointed out that warnings about Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s governance were ignored, and the electorate must take responsibility for electing him as president.

While some NDC MPs voted to approve the president’s ministerial and judicial appointees, the party remains opposed to the government’s policies, according to the former deputy minister for communications.
