KNUST suspends 23 freshmen of Unity Hall for alleged misconduct

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]uthorities of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have suspended 23 students of the Unity Hall (Conti), mainly made up of freshmen, for alleged misconduct.

The students were suspended for accommodating ‘perchers’ and hooting at ladies who came to the hall to visit friends.

The suspension is for a period of one week and meant to warn residents of the hall to desist from those acts of misconduct.

The PRO of Unity Hall, Dominic Donkor, was also suspended for engaging in commercial activities in the Hall.

Speaking to Focus News, the Disciplinary Committee Chairman of Unity Hall, Mr. Nathaniel Arthur said in as much as hooting at ladies was overlooked in the Hall, it was not appropriate for residents of the hall to engage in the act.
