Lady who sold ‘Akpeteshie’ at Agbogbloshie Graduates as a Medical Doctor

A young lady warmed the heart of Ghanaians following her latest achievement in life. Her story is just one of many outstanding stories of poor people who have made serious strives to make an impact in the world.

About si years ago, Olivia Agbenyeke was stuck at the world’s most toxic place, Agbogbloshie, serving as a bartender in her father’s drinking joint, despite attaining highly admirable results in Science – seven As and one B2 – with a great desire to become a medical doctor.

A good teacher in her secondary school Ketasco, Foga Nukunu, took the significant life-changing initiative of asking a top journalist, Kofi Ambidextrous Yeboah of the Daily Graphic, to write and publish Olivia’s story to garner support for the realization of Olivia’s dream.

Fortunately for her, Phoenix Life Assurance Company stepped in, in a big way, to support Olivia.

God being so good, Olivia Agbenyeke graduated from the University of Ghana as a medical doctor on Friday, November 15, 2019.
