Madam Akua Donkor, Flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party has petitioned the Apex court of the land to cancel and ignore the National Democratic Congress’ petition seeking to challenge the validity of the outcome of the just ended elections.

In a letter signed by Madam Akua Donkor and copied to the office of the President, Chief of staff, electoral commission, the registrar of the court, the chairman and secretary of the ruling NPP; stated that, the electoral commission was clear and true because she knew President Akuffo Addo will win even before Madam Jean Mensah came out to declare.

It will be recalled that the John Mahama led NDC rejected the outcome of the elections citing over voting, vote padding and intimidation by state security on agents of his party so the ruling party could rig the elections.

The NDC is expected to file a petition at the Supreme Court of the land to challenge the validity of the results that crowned President Akuffo Addo winner. A statement signed by the General Secretary of the NDC earlier today officially announced the court action.

Madam Akua Donkor wants the Supreme Court to cancel and ignore John Mahama’s case because everything was clear President Akuffo Addo won the election. She further said, just as she supported John Mahama in 2012 when now President Akuffo Addo challenged the results seeking to overturn the elections, she is doing the same because she stated then that Akuffo Addo had no case and the courts affirmed her position.

Again, she thanked Ghanaians for making her the fourth force in the just ended elections.
