Check out the photos of La Tante DC 10: Ghana’s McDonnell Douglas manufactured DC10, an American three-engine wide-body aircraft that got grounded in the early days of 2004 during former President Kufuor’s reign has been converted into a restaurant and a place of relaxation for families, lovers, and friends in Accra adjacent to the Kotoka International Airport.

The name of the restaurant is La Tante DC 10 and is capable of holding 118 diners.

The aircraft is painted in bright green colours, with the original flag tail scheme still in place. Inside the aircraft, diners can sit in booths alongside the windows or down the center of the cabin. Overhead lockers are still in place.

Diners can catch a glimpse of aircraft arriving and departing at the nearby Kotoka International Airport through the windows.
