“He who lost the 2016 presidency is 1 million times bitter” – Koku Anyidoho jabs Mahama
He who lost the 2016 presidency is 1 million times bitter: Founder of the Atta Mills Institute Mr. Samuel Koku Sitsofe Anyidoho has replied members of his party who say he is bitter because he lost in his bid to be General Secretary of the party in 2018.
Mr. Anyidoho contested in a fierce battle with the current General Secretary of the party, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah who for the fourth consecutive time was re-elected General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)
The 63-year-old seasoned politician, popularly referred to as General Mosquito Asiedu was reelected when over 9,000 delegates of the party converged on the Trade Fair Center, Accra, to elect national executives for the next four years.
Following Mr. Anyidoho’s defeat, he has been accused of being ‘bitter’ against the party and passing comments favourable to the ruling Akufo-Addo government.
But in reaction, Mr. Anyidoho said if losing out on being a General Secretary could engender bitterness in him, then someone who wanted to be president in 2016 and lost miserably is 1 million times bitter. This is clearly a jab at former President John Mahama who is believed to have lost the 2016 poll by almost a million votes.
“If, there is a very warped logic that people are bitter because they lost an election to become General Secretary of the NDC in 2018; then all who wanted to be President in 2016 and lost miserably, must be 1 million times bitter Rolling on the floor. Bitterness no good “ Koku Posted on his twitter page.
