Embattled President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi has resigned from his position. His resignation follows a crunch meeting between him and the GFA’s Executive Committee on Friday.

In statement released by the GFA, Nyantakyi pointed out that he was resigning because of the controversy surrounding the latest investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team.

“After a meeting of the Executive Committee this afternoon I decided to resign as President of the Ghana Football Association”

“I hereby apologise unreservedly to the father of the Nation, H.E. Nana Akufo Addo, H.E. the Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, Hon. Ministers and Deputy Ministers of State for indiscretion in associating them with the private conversations on the video.”
