Nana Addo will win with ease – Farouk Aliu Mahama

Nana Addo will win with ease: Son of former Vice President of Ghana and aspiring Member of Parliament (MP) for Yendi, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama says Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will easily win the December 7 elections because of the numerous socio-economic projects he has undertaken, which he says, has really impacted the lives of a majority of Ghanaians.

“Yes, it’s going to be an easy win for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo because all children are going to school for free. Last week, he said he was going to pay the examination fees of the students… issues that parents used to struggle for money for their wards in school are now things of the past,” he pointed out.

He added: “If you look at the health sector, the ambulances and the equipment that are being provided across all districts, If you look at the trust and hope the Ghanaian communities have, you will see that everybody is pointing to the President; infrastructural development, roads are being constructed, potable water, etc,” he told Joy FM’s Lexis Bill on Personality Profile.

Continuing, the Deputy Procurement Manager COCOBOD said: “taking Yendi even as an example, for the past years, nobody has been able to solve this Abudu Andani case. Now we have a king who is a Dagomba king, no Abudu no Andani, bringing peace to Dagbon and now we are going to capitalize on the peace to develop Yendi and see how we can change the narrative of a non-performing government like the NDC to a performing government like the NPP, and hopefully, by the end of the day, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will get the second term.”

Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama described as affable and caring by many of his constituents added that “the President has a mandate of 4 years and he must be re-elected and hopefully he will be re-elected.”

On the issue of the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on political activities, Mr. Aliu Mahama said “We[politicians] cannot say because of the coronavirus pandemic, we will not campaign or do any political activity… with safety measures, we limit the risk factor.”

Mr. Aliu Mahama defeated other formidable aspirants the just-ended NPP parliamentary primaries to become the parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the NPP for Yendi Constituency.
