Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang rallies support for Gyakye Quayson ahead of the Assin North by-election

Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the former running mate of John Dramani Mahama in the 2020 elections, has teamed up with executives from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at all levels to mobilize support for James Gyakye Quayson.

After Quayson’s disqualification as the Member of Parliament for the Assin North constituency by the Supreme Court, a bye-election has been scheduled, and the NDC is determined to secure his re-election.

On her first day in the town, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang actively engaged with various community members, including traders, beauticians, hairdressers, seamstresses, and the elderly, as part of her campaign efforts.

She expressed her confidence in Mr. Quayson’s ability to continue his remarkable work since his victory in 2020. Emphasizing the significance of voting for him in the upcoming bye-election, she stated, “A vote for him in this bye-election solidifies this position.”
