Stephen Leroy Appiah, affectionately called Tornado, is a former captain of Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars. According to reports, he has four children – three boys and a girl – whom he has often flaunted on social media.

His first son, reportedly called Larry, is said to have taken after his dad’s football prowess. Stephen Appiah retired from his football career in 2015.

Following his retirement, Tornado handed over the captainship of the national team to his colleague Asamoah Gyan. He is on record to have led the team to its first World Cup appearance in 2006.
