Dr. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has secured re-election as the Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle in the recently concluded parliamentary elections.

The daughter of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings garnered 39,700 votes, decisively defeating her closest competitor, Valentino Nii Noi Nortey of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who managed 23,558 votes.

This victory extends Dr. Rawlings’ tenure as MP, a position she has held since 2016.

Throughout her campaign, Dr. Rawlings championed key issues such as infrastructure development, youth employment, and improved healthcare services. Her ability to connect with a diverse range of voters in the urban constituency played a significant role in her success.

“I am humbled by the trust of the people of Klottey Korle,” she said. “I remain dedicated to addressing our challenges and advancing the development of our community.”

The Klottey Korle constituency, known for its highly competitive political contests, continues to be a focal point in Ghana’s political landscape, with both the NDC and NPP battling for influence in the area.

Dr. Rawlings’ re-election underscores her strong connection with the people of Klottey Korle and sets the stage for another term of representation and development in the constituency.
