You can’t insult everybody in the name of politics and come back to seek their votes – Nyonkopa to Kennedy Agyapong

Nyonkopa Daniels, the Founder and Executive Director of Peace Watch Ghana has criticized Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central who is also vying for the NPP’s flagbearer position, stating that he desires respect from people despite his past habit of verbally insulting and assaulting others in the name of politics.

Daniels opposed politics of insults, arguing that leaders should be criticized without resorting to name-calling and attacks. She pointed out that Agyapong had previously vilified and insulted former President John Dramani Mahama in unprintable terms.

Daniels expressed her respect for political figures such as Mahama, Bawumia, and Nana Akufo-Addo and urged people to refrain from insulting them.

She emphasized that it is particularly reprehensible when insults are directed at children. Daniels acknowledged Agyapong’s aspirations to become president but questioned whether he would be comfortable with being insulted in the same manner as he had insulted others.
