2026/2027 cocoa season opens with 64kg bag priced at GH¢2,650

Ghana’s 2026/2027 cocoa season has opened with the producer price increased to GH¢42,400 per tonne, up from GH¢41,392 in the previous season.

The new price translates to GH¢2,650 for a 64-kilogramme bag and represents 71.18 per cent of the realised gross free-on-board price, according to COCOBOD.

COCOBOD Chief Executive Ransford Abbey said the new framework also includes measures aimed at improving productivity, traceability and value retention across the cocoa sector.
