NPP leaders appear in court to support Manhyia South MP

Senior New Patriotic Party leaders appeared at the Accra High Court on September 24 in support of Manhyia South MP Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah.

MyJoyOnline reported that NPP National Organiser Henry Nana Boakye and General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua were among party leaders present as the court considered proceedings involving nurse Salomey Awiti Baffoe, whom Baffour Awuah represents as a lawyer.

The appearance followed an attempted arrest of the MP at the court complex on September 23. The circumstances surrounding that incident have generated competing accounts from the MP, political actors and the Economic and Organised Crime Office.

Heavy security was also reported at the court ahead of the bail hearing.
