US Mission honours late Nigerian actor Olu Jacobs and his global legacy

The United States Mission in Nigeria has paid tribute to veteran Nigerian actor Olu Jacobs, describing his career as one that crossed borders and generations.

In a statement shared Tuesday, the US Mission highlighted Jacobs’ appearances in American productions and his contribution to Nigerian cinema.

The tribute said his legacy would continue through the stories he told and the generations of artists he inspired.

Jacobs died earlier in September at the age of 84. Tributes from Nigeria and the international creative community have continued following his death.
