Kamo State explains Funke Akindele’s absence from his movie premiere

Nollywood actor and skit maker Kamo State has explained why Funke Akindele did not attend the Lagos premiere of his debut cinema film, “Star Lomo”.

Kamo said Akindele was outside Nigeria at the time and that her absence was not connected to a disagreement between them. He said the two remain on good terms and that she had discussed the premiere with him.

The clarification followed social-media speculation about their relationship after Akindele missed the event. Kamo asked audiences to focus on the film rather than speculation about their personal relationship.
