Moliy makes history with Dancehall Song of the Year win at Caribbean Music Awards

Ghanaian singer Moliy has added another international achievement to her growing career after winning Dancehall Song of the Year at the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards.

Moliy won the award for Shake It to the Max (Fly) Remix, her collaboration with Jamaican artistes Shenseea and Skillibeng. The song entered the awards as one of the most-nominated releases of the year.

The award was presented on September 19 at the National Academy for the Performing Arts in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. It marked the first time the Caribbean Music Awards were held in the Caribbean after earlier editions in Brooklyn, New York.

The song has also recorded international commercial milestones. Pulse Ghana reported that the remix received RIAA gold certification in the United States after reaching 500,000 units.

Moliy’s Caribbean Music Awards victory adds to recognition the song has received during an extended international run.
