Davido joins Dangote in New York as refinery IPO campaign gains attention

Nigerian music star Davido was spotted alongside businessman Aliko Dangote in New York as the campaign surrounding the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals initial public offering received a prominent display in Times Square.

Channels Television reported that Davido and Dangote appeared beneath a large Nasdaq digital billboard carrying the message “Made in Nigeria. Built for the World.”

The appearance came as the public offer of shares in the Dangote Petroleum Refinery continued. The New York display gave the Nigerian business story an international setting and drew attention online because of Davido’s presence.

Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, remains one of Nigeria’s most internationally recognised Afrobeats performers. His public appearances frequently generate interest across entertainment and social-media audiences.

The Times Square appearance therefore combined entertainment visibility with a major Nigerian corporate campaign, producing another widely shared moment involving one of Africa’s best-known musicians.
