Police pick up 64 suspects in Achimota operation, recover firearms

Police have arrested 64 suspects during an operation at a lounge near Achimota Mile 7 in the Greater Accra Region following complaints about suspected criminal activity.

According to the Police, the operation led to the recovery of firearms and ammunition, including a pistol allegedly found on a suspect who claimed to be a police officer.

The suspects remain in police custody assisting investigations and are expected to be put before the court.
