Police train personnel ahead of Traffitech-GH enforcement

The Motor Traffic and Transport Department of the Ghana Police Service has trained personnel on the Traffitech-GH system ahead of its planned operationalisation on October 1, 2026.

The camera-based system is designed to detect traffic offences and issue electronic notices of violation to vehicle owners.

Training covered automated traffic offences, fines under the new road traffic regulations and the process for contesting notices, with personnel also receiving practical instruction on fixed and speed-monitoring cameras.
